December was a sewing filled month and I still didn’t make it all the way through my project list. Morning sickness has subsided and I’m loving being back at my machines. This month I focused mainly on my kids.
One of my first sews this month was this adorable Santa inspired outfit. I used crushed velvet and Ellie and Mac’s Be Smart Jumper pattern for the skirt. Her “candy cane” leggings were made using Halla’s leggings pattern. (Pattern is free with a code you can find in their Facebook group). Bodysuit was a store bought one from Carter’s.
Next up was a cute outfit to accompany my daughter to her first Santa visit. She was fast asleep when we went a year ago, so we wanted this year to be a little special. I started off first making her skirt. I had this super cute red with gold pin dot fabric that I paired with Petite Stitchery’s (baby size) Sassy Skirt (free with a code found in their Facebook group). Next I made her a collared shirt to match. I dug this deer print out of my scrap bin and whipped up this adorable Ellie and Mac Sitting Pretty Top
My boys of course were not forgotten. As the weather turned cooler hoodies seemed like the route to go. Yet again Ellie and Mac’s patterns saved the day with their Boy’s Swag Hoodie. My youngest wanted short sleeve and my oldest desired long sleeve. No problem here; the pattern had both.
Besides these few outfits I did my usual testing (some patterns that have yet to be released) and even made my husband a new pair of Xmas themed boxers. January is sure to be filled with more projects. Specifically, the few items I cut out and forget to sew.
