My first sew for Baby #4

If you read my last blog, or follow me on social media, you know I’m expecting. If not, then welcome to the news! šŸ˜œ To say I’m excited, would be an understatement. I’m seriously ecstatic to be having another wee one! So much so, that I’ve already finished baby’s first outfit.

Since we won’t find out gender until January, I tried to keep the colors gender neutral. As you can probably tell though, the theme is all momma’s! Leopard, stripes, sewing… All me. I absolutely adore it though.

Here are the pattern & fabric details:

Although this came out adorable, I can definitely see why Max and Meena pulled the CYH kimono to do some reworking. The neckband was too short, so it made it difficult to stretch it the distance that was required. When I make another one, I definitely plan on lengthening the piece at least an inch. Other than that, it went together easily.

Also, I’m so glad I opted for metal snaps instead of plastic; the metal almost hides itself amongst the stripes. Where as if I’d have gone with the solid plastic cap, it would have “stuck out” more.

As always, thanks for reading. Leave questions (or GN baby PDF pattern suggestions!) if you have any.
